KILDRUM Primary School's Environmental Awareness Day went off without a hitch.

The event, which was held at the primary school, on Friday 3rd of June, was a smash with parents, teachers and pupils alike. The event was to highlight the environment and show what the school has been doing to help, as well as having a little fun along the way.

Last year, the event raised £1'685 for school projects and environmental work, and this year was no different. With events like ‘Soak the Jani’, Assault Courses and Bouncy Castles it’s no wonder it was a huge hit.

Local MSP, Jamie Hepburn, was lucky enough to be invited along to the event and later he told Cumbernauldnl.info all about his experience: "I was delighted to be able to attend Kildrum Primary School's Eco Day and see first-hand the good efforts that are being undertaken at the school to raise awareness about the environment.  It is clear that some good work is being done there, and I commend those pupils, parents and teachers involved."
