CUMBERNAULD, Kilsyth and East Kirkintilloch MP, Gregg McClymont, have been called some names in his life and he can now add "Man of the Match" to the collection.

After a recent football match between the Parliamentary Football Club and TalkSport, Gregg was announced as the man of the match, after an hat- trick, in the first half, put the Parliamentary Football Club in the lead.

In the end, the Parliamentary Football Club won it 11- 7, against TalkSport, at Hyde Park. However, the event had a serious side too; it was all in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund.

The Bobby Moore fund was set up almost twenty years ago and has raised a staggering £17 million, towards research for Bowel Cancer.

Commenting, on his efforts, Gregg said: "I was happy to be involved in raising money for such a worthy cause. The Bobby Moore Fund has not only provided for crucial funding into the illness, but has been equally important in raising awareness of the symptoms of bowel cancer and how it is possible to reduce the risk of developing cancer."
