YESTERDAY (June 10th) Cumbernauld's Sacred Heart Church played host to a Daffodil Tea, organised by local MP Gregg McClymont and Central Scotland MSP, Mark Griffin.
The event was all in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, and raised a staggering £325.80, with over fifty people in attendence. However, the event was more than just tea and coffee and the money raised will go towards Marie Curie's care services or hospices.
Commenting, on the news, Gregg said: "I am delighted our Daffodil Tea was so successful. The turnout was great, and the home baking was delicious! We raised £325.80 for Marie Curie Cancer Care, who carry out essential work to provide end of life care to terminally ill patients in their homes, or in one of their hospices."
