CUMBERNAULDNL.INFO have been following the journey of Cumbernauld resident, Neil Wotherspoon, as he has been collecting money to help him on his way to Ukraine, with Samaritan's Purse, where he will work with disadvantaged children; providing social activities and education.
Since his participation in the charity's Milton of Campsie "Turn On The Tap” walk Neil has been busy pulling together plans for his Race Night, which will raise funds towards his travel costs. Since we began following Neil he has raised just over a third of the money he needs.
Neil's Race Night will take place at HatTrix, Guys Meadow, Cumbernauld Village, on the 8th of July, at 7:30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and can be purchased by emailing Neil.

Commenting on his efforts this far Neil said: "I'm really enthusiastic with the level of public support I've received, so far. I've busying myself by catching people on Twitter at different times and asking people to retweet my announcements. However, its not all my efforts, I must also say thanks to my family, close friends and colleagues, who have been spreading the word and helping raise what I've already raised."
Remember that you can always donate to Neil's campaign on his JustGiving web-page.
