This weekend Cumbernauld will welcome some great events and attractions, as well as the usual. Throughout the weekend you can enjoy the walks and views on offer at Palacerigg Country Park and Cumbernauld Glen, more information on these areas are available on our local interest point’s page.
Gaming Tournament:
Children and adults can get together, this weekend, and compete for the sheer for of it. As part of North Lanarkshire Council's summer of "Breakout" events, Abronhill Library will host a Wii Tournament. The event runs until the 8th of July, including, today (Saturday). The event is free and will run until before the Library closes at 12noon. Under eights are required to be accompanied by an adult. More information can be sought here.
Hungama Festival:
For the third year, the Hungama Festival will return to Strathclyde Country Park on July 3rd. The event will run from 1pm until around 8pm, in the evening, with entertainment and stalls running throughout the day. The event celebrates Asian and Scottish cultures and will be used as a fundraising event for the organiser's charity partner. Entry to M&Ds and the Festival will be free. Fun In The Play Park:
Cumbernauld based charity; Scottish Spina Bifida Association will open its play park up to families, this Monday (July 4th), with North Lanarkshire Council Breakout staff in attendance, to run workshops and activities. The SSBA will once again host this event, on separate days and more information can be found here.
