Seafar and Greenfaulds are next to be hit by traffic diversions

CUMBERNAULD has recently been hit by a large number of road closures and diversions, and Greenfaulds and Seafar are next on the list.
 
Seafar road will be closed between McGregor Road and Hill Road, and Greenfaulds road will be closed between Lochinvar Road and Ashiestiel Road.
 
The works are due to road resurfacing, which is being undertaken by Amey. Whilst works are ongoing diversions will be in place.
 
Wilderness Brae will also be hit with diversions as a temporary footbridge is constructed.
 
Wilderness Brae will be closed between 12am and 6am, on August 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. Greenfaulds road will be closed between August 1st and 5th, and Seafar road will be closed until this Friday (July 29th).

Diversions.
 
Seafar: Vehicles on the south (at Seafar Roundabout) should take the slip road onto the A8011, Central Way, continuing north east onto the Muirhead Roundabout, taking the Seafar turn off, where diversion ends.

Vehicles on the north side (at Muirhead Rounabout) take the slip road onto the A8011, Central Way, continuing south west on Central Way taking the slip road onto the Seafar Roundabout, heading north onto Seafar Road, where diversion ends.

Greenfaulds: Vehicles on the west side of the closure (before Athelstane Drive) should continue north on Greenfaulds Road to the Seafar Roundabout, heading nto North Carbrain Road, continuing onto the slip road onto B8039, Janes Braes, taking the slip road off Janes Brae onto Greenfaulds Road, continuing west, where diversion ends.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure (after Melrose Road) should continue east on Greenfaulds Road taking the slip road onto B8039, Janes Brae, continuing slip onto North Carbrain Road, following the road onto Seafar Roundabout taking the exit onto Greefaulds Road, continuing south, where diversion ends.

Wilderness Brae: Vehicles on the north side, travelling southbound, of the works should continue on the A8011 Wilderness Brae, then west on Eastfield Road, south on the B802, south on B8048, south then east on the A8011 Glasgow Roadm north-east on the A8011 Central Way, taking the A8011 slip road to the Muirhead Roundabout, taking the slip onto the A8011 southbound.

Vehicles on the south side, travelling northbound, should continue north onto the slip road from the A8011 northbound, to the Muirhead Roundabout.Then continue around the Muirhead Roundabout, taking the south slip road onto the A8011 Central Way. Then continue south-west on A8011 Central Way, then west and north on A8011 Glasgow Roadm north on the B8048, north on the B802, west on Eastfield Road, onto the Old Inns Roundabout, continuing south on the A8011 Wilderness Brae.
