Strathclyde Fire & Rescue prepare for Cumbernauld open day

STRATHCLYDE Fire and Rescue are preparing to hold a Family Fun Day at Cumbernauld's Greenfaulds Road Fire Station.
 
The event will place on Saturday 20th August, between 10am and 3pm, at Cumbernauld Fire Station, located towards the south area of Greenfaulds Road.
 
Events on offer will include the chance the ride the fire engine, see some vintage fire engines and fire service vehicles, as well as Birds of Prey, stalls, raffles and demonstrations.
 
Joining them at the event will include the Scottish Ambulance Service, Strathclyde Police and Trossachs Search & Rescue.

One of the lucky charities who will be in attendance at the upcoming event is Cumbernauld based, Scottish Spina Bifida Association.
 
Commenting on the invitation, Clare Turner, Fundraising and Communications Manager, Scottish Spina Bifida Association, said: "We are delighted to have been chosen as one of the nominated charities for Cumbernauld Fire Station’s Family Fun Day.
 
"As a charity based in Cumbernauld it will be a great way for us to engage with the local community and make people aware of the vital and extensive services provided by our charity.
 
"There are so many fun activities going on and we will have our special gift card and book stall there on the day as well.”
