NORTH Lanarkshire Council sub-contractor, Amey, who maintain roads, street lighting and footpaths throughout North Lanarkshire have published two information booklets to inform people on how they are preparing for winter.

Following last year's record snow fall levels, the sub-contractor, is trying to shift focus on what they will do for North Lanarkshire Council towns.

The two books, which detail Amey's services and their winter plans and services, are freely available on the council's websites and have been issued following last year's disruption to services, which eventually saw North Lanarkshire Council apply to the MOD for assistance in dealing with the weather, on the 9th of December.

The booklets are available on the North Lanarkshire Council website, here.
