CUMBERNAULD-BASED charity, the Scottish Spina Bifida Association, have announced their latest local fundraiser.

The charity, who are based in Craighalbert Way, have confirmed that they will be hosted a Burns Supper later this month.

The special community Burns Supper will be held at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld at 7pm on Friday 18th January.

“Join us for a fun night of fundraising - including the best local speakers, everyone's favourite 'Tam O'Shanter', poems, songs and lots, lots more with a raffle and auction. As well as this Drums N' Roses, who were on Britain's Got Talent, will be performing,” a Facebook promotion for the charity reads.

The promotion continues: “Enjoy a traditional three course Burns banquet and verse, plus a Ceilidh and disco too!”

Tickets are £18.50pp or £170 for a table of 10. Anyone wanting to book tickets or find out more about the event should email fundraising@ssba.org.uk or telephone 01236 794517.

Spina Bifida is a fault in the spinal column in which one or more veterbrae (the bones which form the backbone) fail to form properly, leaving a gap or split, causing damage to the nervous system.
