Going daft for tea; fundraiser sees four-figure sum pocketed

FUNDRAISERS at Cumbernauld’s St Mungo’s Parish Church have managed to raise a four-figure sum for charity.

Cumbernauld Church of Scotland declared that the congregation at the town’s St Mungo’s Parish Church host a ‘Daffodil Tea’, for cancer care charity, Marie Curie, earlier this month.

The total raised for charity came to £1,000, at the Church’s Daffodil Tea’, two weeks ago.

A spokesperson for the Cumbernauld Church of Scotland group declared the amount “fantastic”, adding their “thanks” to everyone who made the event a “monumental success”. 

The spokesperson said: “A fantastic amount of £1000 was raised last Saturday at the St Mungo's Church Daffodil Tea. Huge thanks to all who attended and to the fundraising committee for making the event such a monumental success.”
