THE local community are being invited to a public meeting on the future of Cumbernauld Old Primary School, in Cumbernauld Village.

The main groups working on restoring Cumbernauld Old Primary School, Cumbernauld House Trust and Cumbernauld Village Action for the Community have organised a public meeting to update local residents on their determination to bring the derelict school building back to life and, create a new community facility.

The meeting will be held in the Village Hall at 7pm on April 10th, and attendees will get the chance to view a 3D model of what the building will look like once the project is completed.

“Our AGM will take place in the Village Community Hall, in The Wynd, from 7pm on Wednesday 10th April,” a spokesperson for the two groups declared.

“After a short AGM there will be a public update meeting on the ongoing project to convert the former Cumbernauld Primary School into a Community and Heritage Hub.

“We do need the public’s help and support to make the project a reality and we hope you’ll take the time to come along and volunteer your support.”
