CUMBERNAULD’S Clyde Football Club has announced that their annual Golf Day has raised a five-figure sum for the club.

The 2013 fundraiser is the 7th Annual Celebrity Golf Day, and is held at Lenzie Golf Club. This year the event was hailed as a “big success”, after a total of £10,300 was raised for The Bully Wee.

Event organiser, Frank Dunn said: "Helen and I are grateful for all the support received from various people, not only this year but throughout their association with this event.

"A special thanks also goes to Jim McCallum and all at Lenzie Golf Club."

The raffle and auction both contributed significantly, as did all eighteen teams, sponsors and the many volunteers who made the event possible, to the evening’s total, with the winning team, being Global Options; captained by Clyde director Bobby Gracey and with celebrity Bobby Lennox.
