THE Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Ramblers enjoyed their 25th anniversary walk, last month; with the group choosing to celebrate by trudging the route that the group walked on their first ever outing.

The route seen the group walk Kilsyth, and finish at the historical Antonine Wall, all to celebrate twenty-five years of the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Ramblers.

“On Sunday 21st April the Group celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a walk in Kilsyth and the Antonine Wall - a repeat of our very first walk, and with the same walk leader,” a group spokesperson said.

“The event was followed by a social event in The Coachman Hotel in Kilsyth…. A memorable day all round.

“We are now into our walking programme for Summer 2013 and our website lists a range of walks on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays through to the end of October.

“Our current walks programme contains weekend and mid-week walks of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty, everything from mountain-tops to country paths and lots in-between. We'd love to have you join us.”
