COMMUTERS to and from Cumbernauld, who use First Bus’s Glasgow services can now get more information about First’s services in the Greater Glasgow area, after the firm launched their new  First Bus App.

"We will be doing everything we possibly can to ensure our customers understand and are familiar with the changes that we will be making to the network,” Ronnie Park, Managing Director of First Glasgow said. "The First Bus app, which can be downloaded and used now, will prove a valuable tool as we prepare for a smooth transition from the old network to the new one.

"We are always looking at new ways to improve our customers’ experiences and encourage more people to use our services. I am already a regular user of the app and so I can certainly wholeheartedly recommend it to our passengers - it's a fantastic app.”

The new application has been developed by First Glasgow's parent company, First Bus, and is now available to download from app stores for Android and iPhone mobile users, with the main idea behind the app’s development being to make it easier for customers to plan their journeys while on the move.

Every one of Great Britain's 300,000 bus stops are included on the app's map and thanks to the Global Positioning System (GPS), users can find local bus stops, bus route maps, service updates and real-time bus departure information, where it is available, as well as commuters being able to mark bus stops as ‘Favourites’, look up available tickets and read company news.
