CUMBERNAULD and Kilsyth SNP MSP, Jamie Hepburn has welcomed the news that a local sports club and school have won grant funding from Awards for All Scotland.

The area’s MSP welcomed the news that Jump Gymnastics Club was awarded £9500, from sportscotland, alongside Kilsyth Primary School, who were awarded £7478 from the Big Lottery Fund.

Jump Gymnastics Club has said that the grant funding will go towards furthering the skill levels of current members and to increase membership by purchasing quality gymnastic equipment and matting. Meanwhile, Kilsyth Primary School will organise a series of event designed at helping to develop new skills in ICT technology and mathematics.

Mr Hepburn has now written to both organisations to congratulate them and to offer his support.

Welcoming the announced funding the area’s MSP commented: “I am happy to learn that these two groups were both fortunate enough to receive a funding increase.  I have no doubt that both Jump Gymnastics and Kilsyth Primary school will put this money to good use.”

“Both projects receiving funding will benefit people throughout the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth area, and I wish them every success for the future.”

“I am always keen to encourage organisations in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth to apply for all relevant funding available, and urge any interested parties to visit the Awards for All Scotland website for more details.”
