THREE nature focused organisations, in Cumbernauld, have once again teamed up to deliver a family fun day, this weekend.

Friends of Cumbernauld Glen and the Scottish Wildlife Trust have announced that this Saturday (June 22nd) will see another family fun day held in Cumbernauld Glen and Cumbernauld House Park, with the support of Friends of Cumbernauld House Park, who maintain North Lanarkshire’s largest park.

The event will take place between noon and 3pm, this Saturday (June 22nd) behind Cumbernauld House, in Cumbernauld House Park, with many activities for the whole family.

Activities will include face painting, arts and crafts, treasure trails, wildflower planting, guided walks, wildflower sowing and plaster casting.

Visitors are advised to bring outdoor clothing and a picnic, with the Met Office predicting that Saturday will bring persistent rain, although the event’s organisers will have marquees set up at the event for the eventuality of poor weather.
