A CUMBERNAULD man is in Monklands Hospital following an altercation in the Braehead Road area of Kildrum, Cumbernauld.

Residents in the street contacted Cumbernauld Media yesterday evening to alert us to an ongoing violent incident which seen two males assault a third man, with what appeared to be bricks and wood.

The incident took place adjacent to Braehead Road Stores, in the street, after 8pm, last night, with onlookers later telling Cumbernauld Media that the victim appeared as if he “had no face”.
