THERE is little under a week left until HGV drivers can refuel at the Old Inns Filling Station on the M80, at Cumbernauld.

Traffic Scotland announced on Monday that HGV drivers would not be able to refuel at the Old Inns Service Station due to works which are ongoing at the site.

From 10am until 4pm on Saturday, July 26th, 2013, HGV drivers are unable to refuel at the site and are instead being urged to use additional stations in the area; the closest being on Seafar Road, off of the Braehead roundabout.

“HGV drivers are advised that there will be no HGV Fuel Service at Old Inns Filling Station at Junction 6 of the M80 from 15 July to 26 July 2013,” a Traffic Scotland spokesperson said.

The disruption to HGV drivers is down to repair work on the concrete of the Old Inns Filling Station, the spokesperson added: “This is due to remedial works to the concrete HGV stand within the facility.”

“Cars, Light Vans, Motorcycles etc. are unaffected and able to fuel normally,” the spokesperson concluded.
