He said: "These high quality homes will contribute to increasing the supply of affordable housing in Cumbernauld and we look forward to continuing to work with the local community and North Lanarkshire Council in the future.”

Link have confirmed that each house boasts gas central heating and hot water systems, high thermal insulation and double glazing to create warm, comfortable and energy efficient homes that will be easy and economical to run.

The development even managed to achieve a Police Scotland ‘Secured by Design’ Approval.
Cllr Peter Sullivan, Vice Convener of Housing & Social Work Services spoke of his “delight” to open the development, adding that he was “impressed with the standard” of the houses.

He said: “I am delighted to be here today to mark the completion of these much needed new homes by Link Housing Association.  I am very impressed with the standard of the development and I would like to wish all the tenants every happiness in their new homes”
