CUMBERNAULD’S St. Margaret’s of Scotland Primary School will once again play host to this year’s Carbrain and Hillcrest Gala Day.

Organisers have confirmed the names of the royal party, the date, time and venue for this year’s annual community regatta, which is put together by Carbrain and Hillcrest Community Council.

Once again, St. Margaret’s of Scotland Primary School, in Broomlands Road, South Carbrain will serve as the venue for Carbrain’s very own community Gala Day – which will take place in mid-August, as usual.

The date for the diary is Saturday, August 16, 2014, with events set to kick off from 11am onwards, with the Gala Queen set to be crowned on stage at noon, with activities set to run until 3pm.

This year’s Gala Day will feature live entertainment, stalls, games and sport – all with a special medieval theme.

Meanwhile, the Gala Day’s Royal Party will include Princess Keira Smith, from Woodlands Primary School; Queen Chloe, from the host venue, St. Margaret’s of Scotland Primary School and Princess Chantelle Trimble, from Carbrain Primary School.

Organisers are not realising much more detail than that – only to confirm that World of Wings, XS Taekwondo, Gaita Medieval Music, Cumbernauld Living Landscape, a football cage, live shows and Midnight Drive will all come along to this year’s Gala.
