OVER one-hundred children celebrated the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games through a packed programme of fun and frolic at Cumbernauld Shopping Centre earlier this week.

Bakehouse Factory Limited presented parents with an ideal opportunity for free childcare, as Lara Liftalot and co. encouraged local kids to celebrate the twentieth Commonwealth Games – which opened at Glasgow’s Celtic Park last night (24 July).

On offer to passing children, some of the rather madcap games included ‘lemon jousting’, relay races, sports Pictionary, musical statues, treasure hunts and more.

Held at the heart of Cumbernauld Shopping Centre, last Tuesday (22nd July), next to Thomas Cook, in Teviot Walk, the five-hour event was organised by management of the mall to encourage kids towards a healthier lifestyle – although it quickly turned into a family-friendly event which gave a traditional Scottish welcome of ‘awrite’ to the Commonwealth Games.
