CUMBERNAULD Shopping Centre played host to another family favourite television character earlier this week, when the lovable Fireman Sam came to town.

Appearing between 11am and 4pm, the much loved children’s television character was greeted by hundreds of visitors to the centre – all of who waited in line eagerly, to meet the fearless firefighter, who was joined by real firefighters from Cumbernauld fire station.

The appearance of Fireman Sam on Thursday 7th August came after a number of popular events and visits to the centre – the most popular visit being Peppa Pig and the most recent event being a celebration of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, ahead of the Games’ opening ceremony.

Cumbernauld Media was in attendance when Fireman Sam paid a visit to the town’s mall; and, our pictures from the day are now available to buy securely online, via the Picture Store page of our website. Just click here.
