A CARING pet owner from Moodiesburn has issued an appeal for information on social media after her friendly feline was injured last week.

Chryston resident Fabiana Pagliarecci has urged people on Facebook to pass on any information that they may have after her pet cat was shot with an air gun last Thursday (27th August).

In a post to her Facebook profile last Thursday night, she explains how her pet cat Roddy was “shot with an air gun at around 7pm” on August 27th.

She explains that although the cat “will survive”, her family are “appealing for any information” into the incident which reportedly took place in Moodiesburn Glen.

Sharing an image of Roddy, her cat, Fabiana appeals for information from the public so that they can “identify” the “scumbags” who injured her beloved companion.

“I’m happy to offer a reward if we manage to get to them,” she explains.

Fabiana added: “We live in a relatively small community and someone must know something.

“Not many people indulge in such despicable hobby so please get in touch if you think you might be able to help.”

Since publishing her post at 10.50pm last Thursday night, Fabiana’s picture has been shared over 200 times.

Posting an update yesterday afternoon (31st August), Fabiana explained to her Facebook friends that: “Roddy is doing well with his recovery, main thing at the moment is for the wound to heal well and for him to take all his meds and food and to rest and be happy and in peace and quiet with lots of cuddles.

She added: “He truly is a little fighter and we love him even more, if that's even possible.”
