SCOTLAND’s favourite rock DJ TOM RUSSELL and heavy rock band ATTICA RAGE will be joining forces at the official launch party of ‘THE BASEMENT ROCKS’ - a brand new rock club-night in Cumbernauld - on Friday 2 May, 2014.
Held in The Basement at Paps Nightclub, 2 St Mungos Walk in Cumbernauld town centre every Friday night, the club is hosted by legendary DJ Tom Russell and will feature live bands followed by Tom’s ‘Friday Night Rock Show’ club-night, running into the wee hours.  For the launch party, Attica Rage will be performing a set of their own songs and a special classic covers set.
Doors open at 7.30pm with live music from 8.30pm and Tom’s rock club running from 11pm until 3am.  Entry is only £3 and all drinks are £1.50.  Other bands lined up to perform at The Basement Rocks in the following weeks include The Easy Riders (feat. Chris Glen of Sensational Alex Harvey Band, M.S.G.), Bad Name (Bon Jovi tribute), Safehouse (feat. John Bruce, ex-Blues ‘n Trouble), The Demons Eye, Zulu, Upshot, Gallus Cooper (Alice Cooper tribute) and more.
With three critically-acclaimed albums under their belt and having supported and shared festival bills with the likes of Judas Priest, Slash (ex-Guns n Roses), Black Label Society, Down, Anthrax and Saxon amongst others,  Attica Rage are gaining a large fan and industry following in the UK and Europe.  Signed to Off Yer Rocka Recordings, the band are planning to release a definitive live album this summer and have just announced their ‘UK & European Road Rage 2014’ headline tour for September and October, including a hometown show at The Classic Grand in Glasgow on Friday 3 October.  Tickets are now on sale with full info on the band’s official .  Attica Rage are also currently confirming a handful of summer festival appearances and have started writing material for a new album.
