Going from AM to PM; Cumbernauld invited to second ‘Studio Showcase’ gig at AM Studios

CUMBERNAULD’S ‘And Then Some Events’ have organised another great line-up for their second ‘Studio Showcase’ gig.

“We’re running another Studio Showcase session at AM Studios, Westfield on Saturday 31st August 2013,” Fraser Lindsay, of And Then Some Events told Cumbernauld Media.

He explained: “Just like our previous event in May of this year the event will take place from 3pm until 11pm and feature performances from a wide variety of talented local acts along with food and a fully licensed bar and cocktail bar.

“The event is a great platform for local acts of all ages to come together in a friendly mini-festival environment and showcase their talents to a wide audience.”

The event will take place between 3pm and 11pm on Saturday 31st August at the AM Rehearsal Studios, on 32 Grayshill Road, Westfield, Cumbernauld, G68 9HQ, with a full-day ticket costing £6, and a half-day ticket costing £4.

“Following the success of the original Studio Showcase session earlier this year, And Then Some Events and AM Rehearsal Studios have teamed up again are very pleased to announce a follow-up show, aptly titled ‘the Studio Showcase II’,” the event’s Facebook page exclaims.

“If you’re a fan of local music, beer, cocktails, hot-dogs (once again provided by Piggy Malone’s) and generally a whole lot of entertainment for £4/6 then get yourself along and show these awesome acts your support.”

The line-up on stage 1 will include The Habit, Almighty Me (TBC), Sonification, Revolver, Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Woman and Fluorescent Hearts, with stage 2 said to welcome Kamblu, Giant Head Collective, White Light Theory (TBC), Perpetual Motion, Jailhouse Jock and Queen Jane, along with the acoustic stage and, Callum McConville, Lucy Raitt, Craig Edwardson, Craig Horne, Kiez Fisto and David Muir.

Fraser Lindsay, of And Then Some Events added: “Full-day and half-day tickets can be purchased from: www.atsevents.bigcartel.com. And, all tickets will be available to pick up from the venue on the day of the event.”

Looking towards the future, Fraser told Cumbernauld Media of what ‘And Then Some Events’ were planning for the months ahead.

He said: “Following this gig our next showcase session is intended to be held at the same venue at the end of November in aid of a certain men’s facial hair charity, with more details to be announced regarding that following this month’s event.”
